A strategic challenge for Europe This morning, the Federation of Railway Industries was present at the breakfast debate of the Rail Forum Europe, sponsored by the UNIFE — The European Rail Supply Industry Association, which was held at the European Parliament in Brussels. This event was a key moment of dialogue to highlight the strategic contribution of rail research and innovation at European level, notably through the Europe's Rail Joint Understanding programme, and to exchange views on its successor's prospects under the next multiannual financial framework. In a context marked by the ecological transition, the challenges of industrial sovereignty and international competitiveness, the railway is more than ever a pillar of European sustainable mobility policies. Thanks to the Rail Europe Forum and UNIFE for this structuring initiative for an innovative, competitive and sustainable railway.
