Associate industrialists from upstream: meeting with Jean-Marc Zulesi on SERM This Thursday, the FIF had the pleasure of welcoming Jean-Marc Zulesi, president of the Metropolitan RER Objective Association and author of the SERM law in his capacity as Member of Parliament for Bouches-du-Rhône, as part of the Railways Business Cluster. Along with Patrick Jeantet, President of FIF, Jean-Marc Zulesi came to share a vision anchored in the field and operational of the first territories engaged in SERM. Where are we today? Which territories move faster? How can projects be financed, governed and deployed to meet the challenges of ecological transition and territorial cohesion? The discussions provided a milestone on the progress of SERMs, their funding models and the proposals put forward by the Metropolitan RER Objective, while addressing a key topic: coordination between the Société des grands projets and SNCF Réseau. At the heart of the discussions: the role of industrialists Because SERMs will not be built without innovation, the meeting allowed us to reflect on the need: To involve industrialists from upstream, particularly in the study phase, To promote the standardisation and industrialization of solutions, and simplify contractual frameworks to improve efficiency and timeliness. The FIF reaffirms its commitment to contribute actively to the success of SERMs by mobilizing the expertise and innovation capacity of the entire railway industry.
