Profile of member : CAF France A major player in rail mobility, CAF France is the French subsidiary of the Spanish group CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles). Located in Bagnères-de-Bigorre and Reichshoffen, the company designs, manufactures and maintains a wide range of rolling stock, ranging from trams to Grandes Lignes trains. In 2022, CAF France strengthened its presence in France with the takeover of the Reichshoffen site as well as the Coradia Polyvalent platform, increasing from 100 people to 1000 employees in Hexagon and thus consolidating its position on the French and European market. Among its flagship projects, CAF France is working on the new generation of Intercités trains, called Oxygen, to replace the old Corail trainsets on the Paris–Clermont-Ferrand, Paris–Limoges–Toulouse and Bordeaux-Marseille lines. The CAF teams also work in consortium with Alstom to design and manufacture new rolling stock for the Paris RER B.
