[Adherent portrait] Hitachi Rail: concrete solutions to transform mobility in the territories In the face of climate challenges, growing mobility needs and network modernization, Hitachi Rail is positioned as a strong partner to support the territories towards more sustainable, reliable and connected mobility. A global leader committed to sustainable mobility With more than €7 billion in revenue, 24,000 employees and a presence in 50 countries, Hitachi Rail develops integrated solutions from rolling stock to signalling, digital systems, supervision, ticketing and parking management. The acquisition of Thales GTS in 2024 strengthened this position, making Hitachi Rail one of the European leaders in mobility: almost half of its workforce is in the old continent. A global French expertise Hitachi Rail has been active in France for over 110 years and is based on three R&D centres of excellence in Vélizy, Brétigny and Les Ulis, where more than 1000 employees design technologies exported worldwide: • CBTC for automated metros (Paris, Panama, Chennai, San Francisco...) • Signal and communication systems deployed in Dakar, Doha or Hanoi • Ticketing solutions used in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America • Unique expertise in parking management (ADP, Mont‐Saint‐Michel, Versailles, Bordeaux...) In France, Hitachi Rail contributes to structuring projects: Grand Paris Express, modernisation of the network via ARGOS with SNCF, or development of frugal signalling to reduce the operating costs of regional lines. A clear ambition: to accompany the territories Hitachi Rail places France and Europe at the heart of its strategy with three priorities: 1 To strengthen European interoperability with eco-designed trains, including the ETR1000. 3 To put digital and AI at the service of the territories, to optimize the operation and maximize the use of existing infrastructures. Technology to optimize networks The HMAX platform, dedicated to predictive maintenance, analyses data from rolling stock and infrastructure in real time. It allows: • improve train availability • reduce maintenance costs • reduce energy consumption. The Hitachi Rail position itself as a long-term partner to modernize networks, support public policies and provide more reliable, fluid and sustainable mobility for the territories.
