FIF strengthens its territorial anchor in the SUD Region! Because the development of the railway requires an active presence on the ground, the Federation of Railway Industries has travelled to the PACA region to meet local actors and strengthen its territorial commitment. Objective: to build synergies with regional partners, support local initiatives and support the development of efficient and sustainable rail mobility. A crucial challenge, especially in view of the 2030 Olympic Games in the Alps! French Alps 2030 - Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games 2030 Two days of exchange and discovery: Monday 24 March: Meeting with Louis Nègre, Mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer and former President of FIF, then with François Poupard new DGS of the City of Marseille and former Director General of Services (DGS) of the Regional Council of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region to discuss with them the local issues of the development of the railway industry. Tuesday 25 March: Visit of the Marseille agency of our member SCLE , expert in control-command and ground signalling , which stands out by a complete mastery of its production chain, from design to shipping of its products. The day continued with a meeting of Jean-Pierre Serrus Vice-President in charge of transport and sustainable mobility of the Southern Region - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur , in order to discuss future railway projects and the challenges of regional mobility. Why this? Because rail is a cornerstone of the energy transition and spatial planning, FIF is mobilizing to unite the national industrial ecosystem as a local and anticipate tomorrow's needs. This immersion in the PACA region marks a new step in our desire to develop a strong and sustainable territorial anchor.
