DRAISY: Reconnecting territories with a light rail solution! The Federation of Railway Industries was present at the event POLE POSITION DRAISY, organized on Thursday 26 June 2025 by Lohr Group on their industrial site in Duppigheim. Our President Patrick Jeantet, alongside Jean-Luc Gibelin (VP Mobilitys – Occitanie Region) attended the guided tour of the Lohr industrial site, by marie-josé navarre, Vice-President of the Lohr Group. It is followed by an immersive presentation of the DRAISY system, structured around 6 thematic stations, with a sound background inspired by station announcements, for a true dive into the universe of this new generation light train. DRAISY is a concrete and innovative response to reinvigorate the little-circulated lines and encourage the reopening of today's closed railway lines. With an optimized approach, it significantly reduces infrastructure and operating costs compared to a conventional train, while maintaining interconnection with the main network. Its commercial commissioning is scheduled for 2028. The event also brought together many key players in the sector and the territories, including: Jean-Luc Gibelin, Vice-President, Mobility for All and Transport Infrastructures of the Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region - Franck Dhersin, Senator of the North Carole DESNOST, Innovation Director SNCF Group «Jean-Aimé Mougenot – Director TER SNCF Voyageurs This project is a good example of the innovation capacity of the French railway ecosystem within the framework of the CORIFER AMI 2021, serving the territories and ecological transition.
