Launch of the "Avec l'industrie ferroviaire" portal to boost the appeal of railway careers

Press release 1 of 2 Press release The railway industry launches the "Avec l'industrie ferroviaire" portal to boost the appeal of its careers and anticipate skills needs Paris, 13 November 2025 Faced with the technological, environmental and societal changes affecting the sector, the railway industry is mobilising to address the challenges of employment and skills. As part of the railway Employment and Skills Development Commitment (EDEC), it is today launching a new dedicated tool: the online portal "Avec l'industrie ferroviaire" (https://www.aveclindustrieferroviaire.fr/). Developed under the cross-industry brand "Avec l'Industrie®", this portal aims to showcase the richness and diversity of railway industry careers, present the training paths available to access these careers, and support companies in their recruitment and training needs. This initiative allows the sector to benefit from the reputation of this cross-industry brand, while asserting its own identity through a dedicated version. The technical development of the portal and the integration of digital tools enabling interactive exploration of railway careers were designed by the service provider Codixis. Beyond a simple information site, the "Avec l'industrie ferroviaire" portal constitutes an interface for showcasing and discovering careers in the sector. It offers young people, jobseekers, people retraining or seeking professional meaning the opportunity to discover future-oriented careers, driven by innovation and sustainability. Thanks to an interactive map depicting a virtual factory, visitors can explore the various professional environments and access detailed career profiles. Artificial intelligence also helps them identify the careers best suited to their profiles, their interests and their aspirations. Lastly, an "INFOS / News and Events" section allows users to follow key sector events and stay informed about local and national initiatives around railway jobs and skills. This project is the result of a collective commitment bringing together the State, OPCO 2i, the Union of Metallurgy Industries and Trades (UIMM), FO Métaux, the CFE-CGC, the CFDT Métallurgie and the French Railway Industry Association (FIF). Together, these players share a common ambition: to anticipate skills needs and support the competitiveness of a strategic sector for sustainable mobility. The "Avec l'industrie ferroviaire" portal thus constitutes a shared showcase in support of the sector's appeal and the promotion of its expertise, for the benefit of employment and the industrial future of France.
