Building on the success of its 2024 edition, Roadtrain Girly returns in 2025 with renewed ambition and a broader territorial reach. This event, initiated by the Association des Industries Ferroviaires (AIF) in partnership with France Travail, aims to encourage greater female representation in the railway sector by highlighting career opportunities for women in this industry undergoing major transformation. This year, the initiative is expanding thanks to the involvement of several regional clusters (Ferrocampus and MecateamCluster) and the French Railway Industry Association (FIF) in Île-de-France. In coordination with these stakeholders, groups of women registered with France Travail will be invited to visit railway industry companies in their local area to gain first-hand insight into the sector's actively recruiting professions, exchange with women professionals and better understand the opportunities available to them. A key event for greater female representation in the railway sector Organised in conjunction with local France Travail agencies and part of a broader effort to boost the sector's appeal, Roadtrain Girly 2025 will be held on 6 March, on the eve of International Women's Rights Day. Through inspiring presentations, hands-on workshops and meetings with women professionals in the sector, participants will have a unique opportunity to challenge preconceived ideas and envisage a professional future within an industry undergoing change A nationwide mobilisation for greater impact The extension of this event to new territories illustrates the strong commitment of manufacturers to addressing the challenges of gender diversity and skills shortages. With the active participation of several regional clusters and under the sponsorship of FIF, this broader mobilisation amplifies the reach of the initiative and ensures wider visibility for this momentum, which is essential for the future of rail. The Campus des Métiers et Qualifications Ferroviaire Industrie de l'Automobile et Eco-Mobilité is in charge of coordinating the event for this 2025 edition, thereby ensuring optimal organisation and national consistency in the implementation of actions. All the partners involved in Roadtrain Girly 2025 thus reaffirm their commitment to greater female representation in the railway industry and invite companies, institutions and training stakeholders to get involved to make this event a genuine springboard to greater opportunities for women in the railway sector.
