The French Railway Industry Association welcomes with satisfaction the appointment of Michel Barnier as Prime Minister. We welcome the arrival at the head of government of a statesman with experience. His previous roles, in particular as former Minister for the Environment, will be a major asset for the railway industry and its role in decarbonisation and the ecological transition. The strong commitments made by the previous government in favour of rail mobility, and in particular the announcement of 100 billion euros of investment for the regeneration and modernisation of our network, must absolutely be maintained during this key period for the French railway industry. More than that, we are counting on the new Prime Minister to contribute to the drive for competitiveness and innovation that has been guiding our export industry for several years. We extend our very best wishes for success to Michel Barnier in his new role, and assure him of our industry's full commitment to a stronger, decarbonised and ambitious France.
