On 17 April, a significant step forward was taken in the French rail sector with the signing of a partnership agreement between the French Railway Industry Association (FIF) and the rail clusters: AIF, CARA, FERROCAMPUS, ID4MOBILITY, MECATEAM CLUSTER NEOPOLIA and CLUSTER TOTEM. The result of years of collaboration between the rail clusters and FIF within its grouping, the Railway Business Clusters (RBC), this partnership is part of a n enhanced dynamic of cooperation. This agreement will help enrich and sustain exchanges and areas of work. This document reflects the shared willingness of industry players to mobilise and c ollaborate closely to: Foster innovation by encouraging research and the development of new rail technologies, Strengthen the competitiveness of sector companies by helping them access new markets and improve their performance, Promote employment and skills by training and qualifying young people and jobseekers for rail industry occupations. The clusters represent more than 600 rail companies and generate several thousand jobs across France. As such, they play an essential role in the representa tion of regional companies, active participation in the sector's decision-making bodies and the pro motion of strategies and actions specific to each rail area. The agreement thus provides in particular for: Recognition of the complementarity of the organisations and their respect ive added value, Strengthening of the territorial network, thereby contributing to the structuring of the rail sector, Sharing of information and the sector's roadmap, fostering a co mmon vision and a coherent strategy, A mutual commitment by the parties, with reciprocal FIF/Cluster memberships, to strengthen synergy and solidarity. This signature opens the way to new opportunities for growth and development for the national rail industry. By joining forces, these major players are determi ned to meet the challenges of the future and to consolidate France's position as one of the world leaders in the rail sector.
