Launch of FERRO'VERT: A Key Platform for Decarbonisation in the Railway Sector

Sharing best practices: The platform offers a space dedicated to pooling the best practices of companies in the sector, thereby encouraging the rapid dissemination of decarbonisation innovations. Sector-wide collaboration: FERRO'VERT fosters cooperation between players in the railway sector, including companies, public institutions and experts, to stimulate research and development of eco-responsible solutions. Documentary resources: The platform offers exclusive access to a library of resources, including the white paper "Decarbonising Transport in France: The Voice of Rail", thereby providing a solid knowledge base to guide decarbonisation initiatives. The French railway industry is taking a new step towards a more sustainable future with the launch of FERRO'VERT, an innovative online platform dedicated to sharing best practices among companies in the sector on decarbonisation. At the Pollutec trade show, the French Railway Industry Association (FIF), Colas Rail and SNCF Réseau presented the FERRO'VERT website (www.ferro-vert.fr). This unique platform is being launched at a pivotal moment when decarbonisation has become a top priority for the transport sector. FERRO'VERT thus represents an additional step alongside the drafting of the railway industry's decarbonisation roadmap, which is currently being developed. FERRO'VERT, the result of close collaboration between the FIF and its member Colas Rail, aims to catalyse innovation and promote the sharing of best practices on decarbonisation. It will offer a participatory online space dedicated to companies and experts in the sector, allowing them to share their knowledge, their achievements and their innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in rail transport.
