Back to the Annual Meeting of the Railway Freight of the Future and OFF 2024 On 26 November, the Federation of Railway Industries had the pleasure of participating in the Annual Meeting of the Railway Freight of the Future and OFF, organized by OBJECTIVE OFF. This event is a key moment to discuss the challenges and opportunities of rail freight in France, bringing together industrial, institutional and political actors around this common ambition. Our Chairman, Patrick Jeantet, spoke by video message at the round table on the current situation of rail freight. After Raphael Doutrebente's interventions - President of 4F - French Railway Freight of the Future, Alexandre Gallo - President of the Association Française du Rail (AFRA), Rémy CROCHET - President of the National Combined Transport Group - GNTC, Florence ROUSSE - Vice-President of the Transport Regulatory Authority, Alexandre Anache - Deputy Director of Rail Services, DGITM - Directorate-General for Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility and Matthieu Chabanel – President and CEO of SNCF Réseau, Patrick Jeantet recalled the mobilization of railway manufacturers to achieve an ambitious but essential objective: doubling the modal share of rail freight in France. At another round table dedicated to the training and development of railway freight trades, alongside Géraldine Adam - Director, Attractive Department, Employment, Training at the UTPF - Union des Transports Publics et Ferriaires, Philippe ROCHER – President of Chemins Ferrés de France - SETVF, Solene Garcin-Berson – General Delegate of the Association Française du Rail (AFRA), Igor Bilimoff, our General Delegate, highlighted the actions carried out by FIF, notably through the deployment of the EDEC of the railway industry. Training and valuing talent is a priority to ensure the future and attractiveness of our sector.
