On 23 May, the Federation of Railway Industries had the pleasure of participating in the launch ceremony of Ferrocampus, a pole of excellence dedicated to rail and decarbonized mobility, in the presence of many institutional and industrial actors. Our President, Patrick Jeantet, was present alongside Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Carole DESNOST, Director of Innovation and Projects Technologies of the SNCF Group and President of CORIFER, and Jacky Emon, President of FERROCAMPUS. On this occasion, our President welcomed the ambition of this structuring project for the future of the railway sector. He recalled the importance of an ecosystem mobilized, able to innovate together and build a shared industrial vision, serving the ecological transition and the needs of the territories. This event thus marks an important step for the industry: training talents, accompanying the ecological transition and valuing railway innovation at the heart of the territories. The day was also an opportunity to discover the TELLi showroom and the real size model. The objective of the Innovating Light Train is to simplify operation and reduce costs on low-traffic lines, while offering a solution tailored to the specific needs of these lines. This project, led by the SNCF Group, with the support of ADEME in the framework of the AMI CORIFER 2021, embarks several of our members including major groups such as Alstom, Faiveley Transport and CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) as well as SMEs such as KFS MOBILITY that produced the seats of this innovation jewel.
