Back to the last plenary of the Rail Open Lab of the year 2025 This morning, the end-of-year plenary of the Rail Open Lab gathered its members at the Federation of Railway Industries for a morning full of exchanges, around the stakes of the railway networks. After an opening by Pierre Daburon, President of the ROL and Patrick Jeantet, President of the FIF, industrialists and infrastructure managers crossed their eyes to affirm a strong conviction: the railway of tomorrow is built in a systemic way, at the interface of rolling stock, infrastructure and uses. The discussions with infrastructure managers including SNCF Réseau, RATP Infrastructures (RATPgroup) and M TAG then led to a rise in awareness, sharing ambitious visions at 10–15 years and highlighting the major challenges – technological, industrial and organisational – that will shape the rail of tomorrow. On this occasion, Jean-Michel Estibals, President of the FIF Digital Technologies Group, along with Frédéric Bernaudin, Vice-President of the group, presented the initiatives taken by FIF in the area of data sharing and exploitation in the rail sector. Essential work to strengthen cooperation between actors, accelerate innovation and create value throughout the industry. This plenary also confirmed the great momentum of the Rail Open Lab, with clear perspectives and a 2026 roadmap for action and experimentation.
