When the railway line gathers to talk given... On 26 February, the Federation of Railway Industries brought together industrialists, operators, public actors and experts for a morning of discussions on a topic that is now essential: "The data, the lever of industrial performance at the heart of the railway system" This meeting is part of the continuation of our work, and in particular of our study on the sharing of data in the French railway sector, which has largely fed the reflections of this morning. Beyond a simple cycle of conferences, this meeting was thought of as a collective moment, where strategic visions, feedback and cross-views have fostered the same ambition: To make data a real tool of performance and transformation for the entire industry. The morning opened with an international perspective. Bertrand MINARY (UIC - International union of railways #UICrail) gave a lucid look at the gaps, priorities and trajectories observed on a European and global scale. The discussions then focused on action with the round table on common bricks needed to structure data sharing in the sector. Presentations by CEDRIC LECOLLEY (GS1 France), Mélanie Veissier (EONA-X), Séverine Rengnet (FEROCAMPUS) and Elodie Vannier (MINERVE) highlighted a key point: digital transformation is based as much on standards, infrastructures and tools as on collective and interoperable dynamics. The last sequence brought out the whole systemic dimension of the subject. Around Patrick Jeantet (FIF), Thien Than-Trong (SNCF Réseau), Pierre-Christophe SONCARRIEU (DGITM - Infrastructure and Mobility), lionel pujol (Directorate-General for Enterprise) and Alix Lecadre (Transdev), the exchanges highlighted a strong conviction: Data has become an issue of governance, industrial performance and sectoral competitiveness. The dynamics are launched and one thing is clear: in the railway as elsewhere, the data becomes a common language.
