FIF Meetings — Exchanges with David Valencia, President of the Infrastructure Orientation Council On Wednesday, 13 May, the Federation of Railway Industries had the pleasure of welcoming David Valencia, President of IOC, for a privileged exchange time with the industry. This meeting took place in an important context marked by the recent publication of the IOC report, which the Government seized to evaluate major infrastructure projects over the next 10 years. During his speech, David Valencia reviewed the main lessons of this "truth operation" approach on 18 major infrastructure projects: costs, delays, project maturity and fiscal sustainability. The exchanges with FIF members highlighted several structuring messages for the sector: The priority given to the regeneration and modernisation of existing networks, in particular railways; The need to reconcile development ambitions with public finances; The importance of realistic programming to ensure long-term maintenance and modernisation investments; Industrial issues related to the rise of signalling projects, JRC, ERTMS and railway equipment. The discussions also addressed the visibility challenges for industry, production capacity, deployment times, and long-term innovation and financing needs. The FIF warmly thanks David Valencia for the quality of his speech and all the participants for the rich exchanges. #IndustryFerry #COI #Mobility #Transport #Infrastructure #FIF #FIF Meetings Patrick Jeantet Marie-Quine du Bourg
