The FIF, a link between industry, institutions and territories: in this new year, more than ever, the railway sector is advancing collectively. As the re-entry begins, the stakes of the railway industry reappear with strength: reindustrialization, technological innovation, ecological transition, skills needs... These are challenges that the Federation of Railway Industries (FIF) is helping to meet, serving the entire ecosystem. The FIF has become the balance between industrial actors, public decision-makers and territories. Specifically, what does the FIF do? - Represents the voice of more than 85 direct and 600 indirect members of the French and European public authorities on the main substantive issues: competitiveness, support for innovation, employment, greening of rail transport... - Animates technical groups (rolling equipment, signalling, infrastructure, etc.) that gather field expertise. Connects with key institutions: DGITM, AFITF, CS2F, CORIFER, Regions of France, etc. - Doors and coordinates structural projects for the future of the railway sector: EDEC railway, Road map decarbonisation of the railway sector, technical studies (e.g. data sharing, deadlines for approval)... Why is it strategic? Because no industry can meet the challenges of tomorrow alone. Because the rail transition needs coordination, readability and continuity of action at all levels: local, national, European. FIF plays this role of interface, animation and strategic alignment. As we return, we look to the future with clarity and ambition. The French railway industry is ready to meet new challenges, innovate, recruit and invest in the territories.
