The FIF in Brussels for the European Railway Award FIF is delighted to have been able to attend the 2024 edition of the European Railway Award, organized by the UNIFE — The European Rail Supply Industry Association and the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (ERC), which celebrates innovation in our industry. We had the pleasure of attending the opening speech of Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for the Green Deal, who recalled the fundamental role of the railway industry in achieving the ecological transition and preserving European competitiveness. Congratulations to Dr.hc.Violeta Bulc, former European Commissioner for Transport (2014-2019), for his award for his commitment to the development of the rail industry, particularly during his tenure, and his commitment to the inclusion of women in the sector. The ceremony continued with a roundtable, which placed the importance of attractiveness and inclusiveness of the sector at the heart of the discussions to meet the challenges of the future industry. A big congratulations to UNIFE and the ERC for organizing the event.
