Federation of Railway Industries welcomes publication of Collective report For an ecological awakening, rigorous work, committed and particularly well documented. Congratulations to the entire collective for the quality of the analysis and clarity of the proposals, especially to Arnaud Potel and Lise Berthou, and to experts like Perennes Patricia for their commitment. This report points out that we fully share: rail is a central solution for the successful ecological transition, while strengthening our industrial sovereignty and territorial cohesion. We fully support his recommendations: Structure and strengthen the railway industry As Patrick Jeantet, President of FIF, stated in the preface of this report: We must redouble our efforts to make rail a pillar of our sustainable mobility policy. The issues are clear, and solutions are within reach. It is now up to all of us – industrialists, political decision-makers, citizens – to take the necessary decisions to ensure that the mobility of the 21st century is a multimodal, decarbonized mobility with the backbone of the future. These proposals are consistent with those put forward by the FIF in the framework of the Ambition France Transports conference, around a common objective: to invest massively and give visibility to strengthen the role of rail as a pillar of sustainable mobility.
